For up to six drivers. Ideal training course for companies, clubs, family groups. A three hour session covering front & rear wheel skid detection and control techniques. Using our vehicle you will be taught in a safe environment how to detect the onset of a skid and deal with it simply and efficiently. After a short classroom session covering skid and causes, you will be given a brief demostration by the trainer who will then proceed to instruct the participants for the duration of the pan time. The drivers will swop over from time to time, increasing the awareness of skids and enhancing the teaching programme by observing others drive. This training is very suitable for fleet operators and can be an invaluable way to reduce accidents due to bad road and weather conditions. Certificate issued. Available weekends and weekdays. An additional hour can be bolted on by arrangement for an extra £55.00

Some of the terms and conditions relating to confirmed bookings via voucher or cash/cheque/card payment Cancellation or alteration of a booking made within 21 days of a confirmed date/time will be subject to a additional fee of £50.00. A participant failing to arrive or arriving late on a confirmed date/time will be not be refunded or offered an alternative date. Also If you are unable, or not wishing, to take a course on a pre-booked date/time you may pass it over to another qualified driver. Please notify us at least 48hrs, in advance, by calling 01903 691810 and tell the chief instructor or leave a message with full details and contact details. RECORDED DELIVERY Do not send vouchers etc, by recorded delivery we do not get a postal delivery till late in the day and office may be closed. We then have to go to main post office some miles away and the item could be delayed by up to 5 days if we are short of staff. If a voucher why not photo copy it before sending the original in payment of your course, then email us to say it is on the way. We will tell you when it is here. |

Terms & Conditions (valid from October 2003) (valid for all current and subsequent bookings) All prices shown include VAT unless otherwise stated All courses are pre-booked no open bookings** All courses and bookings are only confirmed if payment (or voucher sent) prior to date of course. Special consideration will be made on request for company bookings (only) for a 30 day maximum payment on invoice. (30 days from date of course run) Confirmed bookings relate to a booking for which you have been sent a letter 'Booking confirmation & Joining instructions' giving the agreed date and time for your course Before sending off booking form please arrange date/time for your visit Payment is made payable to SKID CONTROL invoice/receipt issued on request On receipt of payment in full, written confirmation with full joining instructions will be issued Courses sold in good faith. No cash refund is available on courses bought/booked whether confirmed or open Gift vouchers (Into the Blue) are valid for 9 months from time of purchase. Courses bought by vouchers issued by Into the Blue or Virgin Acorne or any other approved (by Skid Control) company are subject to these terms and conditions. All participants are required to hold a current full driving licence valid for the UK. (for exceptions speak to chief instructor) The skid pan is a real slip surface and all reasonable care is taken in the training and movements whilst on or near its surface, participants are told of any possible danger and should take all reasonable care and to follow the directions of the duty instructor. The school is situated at a motor circuit/airfield venue and care should be taken when driving or walking within its perimeter. No driving or walking is allowed onto the 'live' airfield. Skid Control reserve the right to ask any person/s not responding to reasonable instructions (participants or onlookers), on or off the skid surface, to withdraw from the teaching area and if necessary leave the Goodwood site. Further, you are reminded, no one is permitted to walk on the airfield which is adjacent to our operating area. Parking of private vehicles may, if circumstances permit, be allowed close by but this does not infer that Skid Control or its employees or Goodwood take any responsibility for its safety or the safety of person/s in on or close by it or its contents. Briefing sessions, particularly on group course sessions, are an integral part of the activities and include health and safety issues as well as the course content and an overview of the cause and effect of driving on a slippery surface. Participants not attending these briefing sessions or arriving late may not be permitted to take any further part in the proceedings. In which case no refund can be offered. It is the responsibly of the participant to attend at the agreed time. If you are unable, or not wishing, to take a course on a pre-booked date/time you may pass it over to another qualified driver.
